The College started offering B.A. Economics in 2013 in the Self-financing sector. The student intake is 40. In 2014, Government of Kerala sanctioned BA Economics programme in the aided sector and college converted the existing programme from self-financing to aided sector. Since the Governement hasn't created any permanent teaching post in the department, appointment has been made on contract basis. Presently 3 full time teachers are working in the department.
