The Departments of History and Journalism jointly organized an lecture as part of the Invited Lecture Series on September 27, 2023, at the Seminar Hall. Dr. Lirar Pulikkalakath, Assistant Professor at the School of International Relations and Politics, MG University, Kottayam, delivered the lecture on the topic“Understanding Palestine-Israel Conflict: History and Recent Developments.”

Dr. Lirar provided a comprehensive analysis of the historical roots and evolving dynamics of the conflict, examining its geopolitical, social, and cultural implications. His lecture offered valuable insights into the current situation, making complex issues more accessible to the students.

The event was attended by over 80 students. Riyas Aboobacker, Head of the Department of Journalism, welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker. Dr. P Musthafa Farook, Head of the Department of History, also spoke.
