NSS

The College has two units of National Service Scheme. The first unit started in 1996 and the second came into being in 2006. All the units have so far engaged in several noteworthy social works of state repute. The college has launched 'A House a Year' scheme under the NSS units. A homeless poor family from the neighborhood of the college is selected every year. So far the units have completed 8 houses under this scheme. A fund of Charity called 'Kanivu', has been setup under the auspices of NSS, by collecting contributions from the staff and students and from other benefactors. The fund is setup to provide financial assistance to those people who are ill, poor and helpless. Students and Staff make their contribution to the fund in every week - on Wednesday (Kanivu day).  It also started the first NSS student exchange programme under the Calicut University.
