•PG department of mathematics and statistics in association with IQAC of Sullamussalam Science College, Areekode celebrated national statistics day on June 29 , 2022. • Dr.Saheeda CO (statistical investigator department of economics &statistics,Malappuram) inaugurated program. •she delivered talk on importance of statistics in socio economic planning and policy formulation . •The talk was followed by an intercollegiate quiz competition under the supervision of Muhammed Sadique M T (Assistant Professor Gov. College, kondotty).

•A talk on “Importance of Math” was delivered by our invited speaker Mr. Mujeeb Rahman K, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, PSMO College, Thirurangadi. •The students of both Bsc amd Msc mathematics as well as Bsc Physics attended the program and were enlightened and enthusiastic to have heard such a well delivered lecture which gave them a new insight to the world of Mathematics.

An Orientation Programme on Central University admission and CUET entrance examination was given to final Year Bsc Mathematics students by Mr. Abid Rahman K.A., Research Scholar, EMEA College of Arts and Science, who was earlier a contract faculty of Economics Department, Sullamussalam Science College Areekode. The session was very informative and most of the students shared their doubts and anxieties regarding the admission at various central universities across our Country.  

•The department celebrated National Mathematics Day by organising a talk on the Topic “EIGENFACES – A MATHEMATICAL VIEW” by Dr. Bajeel PN, Assistant Professor, Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, on 22 December 2022. •The talk was followed by a quiz competition organised by the final year students of the department. • Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held previously in the department and college.

•The Association activities of the Department was inaugurated on 22nd December 2022, by Dr. Bajeel P N, Assistant Professor, Unity Women’s College, Manjeri. • Association Secretary Hiba delivered the welcome address and Chairman Muhammed Minhaj gave felicitation. •The inauguration was followed by a series of paper presentations by Shadin and Hiba Fathima of first year Bsc Mathematics and Nifa of Final year PG. •A Documentary on Mathematics was screened after the presentation which was followed by a quiz programme organized and conducted by Final year UG. •Bas

•The Department of Mathematics celebrated International Mathematics Day also known as Pi Day on 14th March 2023 by organising a series of programmes. •The celebration was inaugurated by our former HOD Dr. Sajith sir, followed by a talk on the relevance of the constant value Pi by Hasna of First Year Msc Mathematics. •The next talk was on “The Introduction to Pi and its importance” by Riya of second year Bsc Mathematics. •The talk series was followed by a game on writing the maximum digits in the decimal place of Pi organized by the PG students of the Departme
